Family expectations

What families
should know.

These standards protect the development of each player and the success of every team.

01

Practice & attendance

Teams practice 1–2 times per week. Attendance at practices and games is expected. Absences may affect playing time and, when repeated, a player’s roster spot. Team-specific times and locations are shared after rosters and coaches are finalized.

02

Playing time & roles

Playing time is not guaranteed. Players earn opportunities through attendance, effort, attitude, performance, and team needs. Coaches will not discuss another player or compare players with parents.

03

Academics & behavior

Players are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA, or the elementary-school equivalent. Grades may be checked during the season. Academic, attendance, or behavioral concerns can affect a player’s standing.

04

Parent conduct

Parents should cheer and encourage—not coach from the stands or enter the floor to give instructions. Families must treat officials, opponents, coaches, and one another with respect.

Typical seasonSeptember–March

The season includes league and tournament play. Additional events and related fees are communicated by each team.
